The COVID-19 crisis in India has hit the news around the world. We see interviews of people in distress and mourning over loved ones who have died. Healthcare workers and municipal leaders are searching for oxygen, supplies, and medicine to save as many as they can.
In Tenali, Andhra Pradesh, the situation is the same as cities and towns all over India. People are scared and desperate. Medical care is not free and fees must be paid in advance before the hospital admits patients for treatment. The COVID-19 vaccine is not free. The cost, $40 per person.
The homeless in Tenali are all but forgotten. They are the poorest of the poor, overlooked and dismissed. But there is Hope. With your donation of $50, a homeless person can receive a COVID-19 vaccine and a week’s worth of food.
Please consider donating during this very dire situation.
